Featuring speaker Angelina Ireland, President of the Delta Hospice Society

Join us this Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Toronto Right to Life and the resilience of pro-lifers over the years in bringing the pro-life message to our city. Hear from pro-life heroes like Angelina Ireland, President of the Delta Hospice Society, who recently stood up for pro-life palliative care in the face of opposition from the government and activists.

photo of Angelina IrelandAngelina was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She attended the University of Winnipeg where she received a Bachelor (Honours) degree in Arts and then went to Ottawa and received a Master’s Degree in political science from Carleton University. Afterward, she went to live in London , England where she entered the world of credit and finance working for British Telecom. Upon returning to Canada she lived in Toronto and then moved to Vancouver and worked as an accountant. 15 years ago she started her own business and now works with other small businesses. In 2013, after a diagnosis of cancer, she became a client of the Delta Hospice Society. When she recovered to good health she joined the Board of Directors. In 2019, she was elected the President of the Board. Since then Angelina has been engaged in a battle to defend the Delta Hospice Society from various levels of government and euthanasia activists intent on destroying the organization because they refused to kill their patients. Ultimately, the fight has led to the need to protect Palliative Care itself in Canada.

About Toronto Right to Life

Since its official founding in 1972 as one of the first 'Right to Life' groups in the country, Toronto Right to Life continues to be a formidable pro-life presence in Canada. For over half a century, through TRTL, hundreds of pro-lifers have generously contributed their time and energy to continue our mission to “uphold the dignity of human life… from the time of conception until death, [and] protect the interests and rights of the unborn child.” Here at TRTL, we are so honoured to 'stand on the shoulders of giants' and continue the life-saving pro-life educational work so desperately needed by our culture.

We have a vision for a day where the intrinsic dignity of every human life is valued and the human rights of all human beings are protected. We see the incredible success of the American pro-life movement with the recent fall of Roe v. Wade, and want to share with you how, together, we are on the ground, bringing winning strategies to Toronto, which have ripple effects across our nation.

Whether you have been with us for years, or are new to the movement, please join us this October for our 50th Anniversary Fundraising Gala in commemoration of the hard work of so many.
